My love for theatre started when I saw CATS at the age of six. I aspired to be a performer! I took vocal lessons, starred in musicals, and earned a degree in music performance. I have always had a thirst for expanding my creativity and knowledge and took classes in music, theatre, and psychology. I studied many vocal styles including classical, musical theatre, and jazz.

I have performed in an original off-off-Broadway musical, regional shows around the US, and multiple cabarets shows around NYC. But I’ve also become much more than just a performer. I’m now a professional director, choreographer, and the associate producer for StrawHat Auditions. All of my personal experience and abilities allow me to be a well-rounded creative force and great leader for my cast and crew.

I started my directing journey in 2017 by resurrecting a theatre program in my small hometown of Henryetta, Oklahoma. In a town where bull riding and football is king, a group of nine students and myself decided that it was time to create a home for theatre kids to belong. For seven years now I have directed, music directed, and choreographed six successful productions, striving to create something remarkable and unforgettable for the students and the community. The program has gotten national recognition from NBC and the Oklahoma Arts Counsel and has had donors from the Broadway community. Creating and working with the students within this program has become one my proudest achievements in my career. I love seeing the students fall in love with theatre, and the impact that the program has on the students and the community has been irreplicable.

As a director, I’m very hands-on, and I’m not afraid of taking risks. I dive into my rehearsals equipped with passionate energy, a solid intuition, a creative vision, and a strong Midwestern work ethic. I am efficient and able to create dynamic and dramatic productions in a short time frame.

I allow the space for my cast and crew to create and collaborate freely. I am structured and resilient but also full of empathy and an infectious love for what I do. My goal is to foster creativity within the cast and to create an environment where they are allowed to express themselves. Together we create a unique and cohesive show inspired by a strong vision and with their personal talents in mind.

I am also the associate producer at StrawHat Auditions that happen every spring in NYC. If you have submitted for StrawHat in the last few years, odds are I have glanced at your headshot and resume and have seen your acting reels. I’ve led the prescreening process for that last four years and have gained casting and organizational skills as I’ve worked my way from auditioner to associate producer.

I love getting to know people, watching live theatre performances at all levels, and a great cup of coffee. If you would like to get to know me more or to collaborate please go to my contact page
